Where in the World is #10 Dove Street?

Cebu Restaurants Where in the World is #10 Dove Street? Dove Street, Cebu restaurant

#10 Dove Street is located inside Santo Nino Village, Banilad, Cebu City. Yes, it can be difficult to locate this Cebu restaurant especially with the street sign hidden (we got proof!), but it sure is worth visiting.

The name of this cute and cozy restaurant tells you its exact location – it is indeed No. 10 in Dove Street. This makes it one of the most unique restaurants in Cebu in my list.

For Php 170 (it used to be cheaper years ago, like Php 150), you get a soup, a salad, a gourmet sandwich (with toasted chunky bread), and your choice of whatever cake they have that day. Drinks are reasonably priced (see menu), and servings are enough for one person. Although it may seem like something for snacks, the set is indeed filling enough to be your lunch or dinner.

Some people may not enjoy it there (Fedge yoohooo), but it is a nice place to hang out with friends although you can’t really get too noisy because the place is small. How small? Well, you can eavesdrop on other people’s conversations without meaning to.

Dove Street used to have a really classy laminated menu. Apparently they had to change some of what they offer every few months, so practicality beats class any day. Some of the choices in the menu were indeed new to me. This is actually nice because the old menu has SO many choices, it would take 48 years and 4 days for a group to make a choice!

I don’t have anything to write about the soups and the drinks; they are not bad but nothing worth jumping up and down for. The cakes are good. If you get lucky, you might drop by the day they have cheesecake.

So what’s included in the salads and sandwiches we ordered?

Shrimp salad – pasta with shrimps, diced cucumber, and pineapple chunks in honey-mustard and mayo dressing

Fandango – salad greens with walnuts, Mandarin oranges, cubed cheese, croutons, and raspberry dressing

Wreck Salad – lettuce with cubed ham, cubed cheese, cucumber and tomatoes with an old-fashioned Thousand Island dressing

Caribbean Chicken - salad greens with diced chicken, Mandarin oranges, and pineapple chunks with chili/teriyarki sauce

Chicken Mango – pasta with diced chicken, diced mango, and water chestnuts with light mayo dressing

Summer Delight – salad greens with Mandarin oranges, pineapple chunks, grapes, and chicken strips in poppy seed dressing

Harvest Apple – diced apples with grapes, walnuts, golden raisins, miniature marshmallows, and flaked coconut with classic Yukon dressing

Roast Beef Dylan – Bread with tender roast beef with sauteed onions and mushrooms topped with melted cheese

Finger Lickin’ Szechuan Chicken – Bread with diced chicken, cucumber, cheese and chili sauce-peanut oil dressing

Chicken Santa Fe – Bread with chopped chicken fillet, tomato, bacon, cucumber, and cheese

Pilgrim’s Harvest – Bread with turkey, ham, cranberry sauce, cheese, and fresh lettuce

I wholeheartedly recommend the Roast Beef Dylan and the Harvest Apple!

Dove Street is a nice place with decent food. Great interiors and rather classy utensils. You can bring your dates there if you want to talk, especially during the weekdays. As for me, I will bring Went there because I can afford it!

Where exactly is this place located? You mean inside the subdivision? or just beside the boundary? I wanna try their food, it looks interesting so far…

  6. Shel Says:

@Alex – Hi, thanks for dropping by our blog. Yeah, inside the subdivision. You can ask the guards to give you directions if you’re not familiar with the streets. If you go there, it would be better if you call for reservations. Do share your experience there soon!

Hi Barongoy, thanks for dropping by our blog. Yeah, you should try roast beef dylan. That’s probably the best seller, and rightfully so. Delicious jud and cheap lang.

dove street is good. Is the price still 170 per set? It’s good for dinner dates.

  12. Shel Says:

Hi Iryn, thanks for dropping by our blog. I haven’t been to Dove Street since December. I’m not sure about the prices, but you can always call them at 346-0618

I could be wrong, but I’m assuming the Number 10 Dove Street is a play on the name of Number 10 Downing Street, the name of where the British Prime Minister is based in the UK ( http://www.number10.gov.uk/tour/ ). I got the impression more so by the shape of the door’s windows! If they’re not based on the British door, then it’s quite the coincidence really!

I must say that I love your blog and am absolutely thrilled that I found this site. It’s just what I’ve been looking for in advance of our visit to Cebu. A foodie myself it’s great to find people who appreciate good food in a good atmosphere. Great write ups, fantastic photos and informative reviews. I intend to visit often! Well done!

  14. Shel Says:

Hi FlipCanuckBrit. I have no idea about the genesis of #10 Dove Street, all I know is that the owner is in the U.S. Thanks for dropping by our blog and posting a heartwarming comment!

  16. Fedge Says:

Hi Elle, salamat sa pagbisita. Life-changing ba among blog? LOL!

Yah Shel knows most (if not everything) about Korean. From language, soups, and soaps! BOF korean ba nah? hehe wa gyud koy alamag!

  17. Bobby Says:

Hi!is it good place for celebrating for anniversary with my wife.I have a plan to have a reservation in this place, and can you please advise me.

  18. Shel Says:

Hi Bobby. Yeah, it can be a good place to celebrate but it may be too small and may not be romantic enough for your wife’s taste. Food-wise, it is OK but there are no meals with rice (the last time I went there). Better call them to confirm changes in their menu, if any. We’ve provided the phone number at the end of the post.
