It was my first time in Vanille, and I was very disappointed because the place looked really nice on the outside but served terrible refreshments. I was really expecting so much from the place. We even considered it as the first place to dine when the Terraces Ayala Cebu was just new. Good thing we tried Sizzlin Pepper Steak instead!
We had the Mocha Frost and Choco Frappe, and they were just horrible. I mean the flavor was all right for a DIY shake! The ice blending was bad, the serving size is not so big, and the taste was very very very ordinary. Think of Milo or Ovaltine with a hint of mint. There I said it! I’m really sorry if that’s how it appealed to me.
For an establishment that serves desserts and refreshments, the quality should have been way way better. I would understand if it is not their main thing. Just like when people complain about how ordinary the food in Gilligan’s is, and that’s for a good reason because it is basically a bar. I just think it is unacceptable and mind you their prices are a bit expensive.
But anyway, if you still wanna give the place a go and prove me right (ok prove me wrong), go ahead! But don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Shel: I’ve been to Vanille a couple of times, and I like the interiors, but yeah the desserts were on the pricey side considering the sizes. I like their cookies though, and I know of someone who really really likes Vanille’s treats, so do check out Farley’s blog for reviews of those yummy looking desserts (he owns the photo below). Fedge, try Vanille’s cakes next time, you might change your mind.
