La Marea’s Royal Bibingka (Php 95) – is it really fit for a king?

I don’t know if royalty is as picky as Fedge, but even Fedge would love this version of a native delicacy. It doesn’t taste like the usual bibingka for one. It’s a lot more flaky, it does seem like mamon even. It’s not very sweet, and the coconut really does wonders to its taste.
I like this bibingka almost as much as Chika-an’s Special Bibingka, although the latter can be greasy and bidli kadugayan, naturally because of the coconut milk in it. The Chika-an bibingka is less than Php 50 the last time I bought one, which is like two months ago, so the price is a lot more attractive to me especially if you have to buy for your family and friends.

La Marea’s royal bibingka, by the way, tastes good with both hot or cold drinks. This one above was honorary Pakalista Carmel’s choice-hot caramel macchiato. And it does taste good with the bibingka.
So if you want a local bibingka with a twist, I suggest you try La Marea’s Royal Bibingka!

Hi kathangisip, thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment. Yeah, try La Marea’s bibingka as well as that of Chika-an. I think you’d have a great food trip if you visit Lahug, lots of Cebu restaurants.
